We arrived to Jacey's grandparents' property at 10AM, ready to capture all the amazing moments that were sure to happen on Jacey & Preston's wedding day! It was a cloudy and rainy morning in Martinsville, but we were fortunate to have a huge tent as well as plenty of beautiful trees on the property to shield us from the rain as we took photos and video!
Upon arrival, the bride, groom, and wedding party were already dressed and prepared to begin. We started with a First Look under the amazing gazebo, which would later provide the setting for the dances and other events. Jacey approached Preston in her beautiful wedding dress, and as he turned around to see her for the first time he gave us quite an incredible reaction.
After their First Look, and a few minutes of privacy for the couple, we proceeded to the bridal party and family photos under the trees in front of the gorgeous pond as it lightly sprinkled. After getting all the family photos we possibly could, it was time for the main event of the day, the ceremony. At this point, the rain stopped and the sun came out!
Following the ceremony, events progressed directly into the reception, as we were able to capture all of the family photos before the ceremony. The reception consisted of Entrances, Toasts, Formal Dances, Cake Cutting, Bouquet & Garter Tosses, the Shoe Game, and then open dancing for everyone as DJ Dan Barrick invited guests to party under the gazebo!
Before our services were concluded, we pulled Jacey & Preston out of the party to do their portraits. This is one of my favorite parts of a wedding day because we get some time alone with the couple to get to know them even better as well as the chance to be creative and create something really special with them that they will look back on forever!
After returning from the portraits, it was time for an amazing moment! Painter Lillian Kellam had been live-painting a scene from the ceremony all day, and it was time to reveal the finished piece to Jacey & Preston. Their reactions were priceless as they gawked at Lillian's magnificent work!
